Ionesco's Rhinoceros

Here are a few pictures from a show that I did earlier this year. I was Assistant Lighting Designer and Programmer for this one. It is Rhinoceros by Eugene Ionesco. The lighting designer was Jonathan Kistler. It was directed by Kurt Edwards.

This scene was done with blacklights and Wildfire paint. There is actually a red light in the eye of the rhinoceros which was turned on remotely from the light booth.

You may notice a slight green tint to this scene. That was used whenever a rhinoceros was present of a transformation into one was taking place.

We went with a very harsh, florescent look for this scene. It turned out well in my opinion.

If you look in the background of this photo, you will see the French flag projected with light onto the white curtain backdrop. The play is set in France, so I thought that the French flag was a nice touch for this opening scene. I was done entirely with three lights, all moving yoke fixtures.

Sunday in the Park with George

These are from the show I just finished called Sunday in the Park with George.
E.B. Campbell and I did the lighting design for it. It was directed by Kurt Edwards.
I must give the disclaimer that all of the pictures are from final dress rehearsal. These are the one's in which, due to some very extenuating circumstances, Scott Brand, the man playing George, ended up in blue jeans and a t-shirt for final dress. It went marvelously, though, and I am proud of all who were a part of it.

Fiddler on the Roof

So, without further ado, here are a few pictures of a production of Fiddler on the Roof for which I was Stage Lighting Technician. The lighting for this show was designed by Zach Middaugh. It was directed by Kurt Edwards.

Welcome

Well, I realize this is a bit boring for now. I am currently involved in a show and am a bit busy with that, so I don't have a lot of time to post at the moment. Keep checking, though, as pics should be coming very soon.
